Spring has a magical way of bringing everything to life, and when you mix that with the excitement of a military wedding, you get a celebration that’s vibrant, heartwarming, and unforgettable! This gorgeous wedding at The Barn at Upcote was a day filled with laughter, love, and a touch of military charm! Who doesn’t love a uniform?
The ceremony was a true reflection of the couple’s personalities—personalized vows that were equal parts heartfelt and hilarious! Friends and family gathered for a celebrant-led wedding, where laughter and tears filled the room. You could feel the joy it was a moment that truly set the tone for the day.
As soon as the “I dos” were sealed with a kiss, it was time for a confetti shower! The lively cocktail hour kicked off with guests mingling, enjoying delicious canapés, while I captured all those essential group photos. The cheerful atmosphere was absolutely contagious, with laughter echoing throughout the venue and smiles lighting up every face.
The secret gardens at The Barn at Upcote provided the most stunning backdrop for couples photos. I whisked these lovebirds away for just ten minutes, and they soaked in every moment of being alone together which meant I was able to capture truly authentic photos of them just laughing and dancing, completely lost in their own little world.
Then came time for food followed by the speeches. Oh, they had us laughing one minute and reaching for tissues the next. Toasts were made to honor those who couldn’t be there and to celebrate our armed forces, elevating the atmosphere to new heights as we got ready to hit the dance floor. I love a first dance, it just gets the party started! But, adding a saxophonist halfway through? Genius! That moment transformed into an all-out dance party, with everyone letting their hair down and joining in the fun.
