A Stanway Tithe Barn Wedding – Family, Fun & One Epic Fountain
Some weddings are all about the jaw-dropping details, the picture-perfect setting, and the kind of energy that just buzzes from start to finish. This wedding at Stanway Tithe Barn had all of that—plus a whole lot of love, laughter, and an absolutely enormous fountain that stole the show in the group shots.
A Cotswolds Wedding with a Whole Lot of Heart
Stanway Tithe Barn is one of those venues that just feels special the moment you arrive. Nestled in the stunning Cotswolds countryside, it’s got the perfect mix of rustic charm and elegant history. Think honey-colored stone, exposed beams, and countryside views that go on for miles. Add in a couple who made family the heart of their day, and you’ve got a wedding that was as warm and welcoming as it was beautiful.
A Ceremony Just a Stone’s Throw Away
The day started with a heartfelt church service just a short stroll from the barn. There’s something so lovely about a ceremony that feels woven into the landscape—guests gathering in the pews, the couple exchanging glances that say, we’re really doing this!, and a setting steeped in tradition.
The vows were full of emotion, with a few happy tears (and maybe a couple of slightly wobbly voices), but as soon as the couple walked back down the aisle hand in hand, it was all pure joy. And from that moment on, the day just flowed.
The Most Epic Group Shot Ever
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Stanway House for a reception that was all about family, fun, and really, really good times. And, of course, we couldn’t not take full advantage of one of the estate’s most famous features—the absolutely massive gravity-fed fountain.
This isn’t just any fountain. It’s the tallest gravity-fed fountain in the world. And let me tell you, getting all the guests lined up for the group shot with that dramatic jet of water shooting into the sky? Absolute gold. There were cheers, there was laughter, there was one or two people definitely trying to dodge the spray—it was hands down one of the most fun group photos I’ve ever taken.
A Barn Reception Filled with Love & Laughter
Once we were safely out of fountain range, it was time to head to Stanway Tithe Barn for a reception that felt more like a giant, joyful family gathering than a formal wedding meal. Long tables filled the barn, fairy lights twinkled overhead, and the speeches? Equal parts hilarious and heartwarming. The kind of toasts that had everyone laughing one minute and wiping away a sneaky tear the next.
The evening unfolded with that effortless, laid-back energy that makes a wedding feel amazing. Kids running around, guests catching up over drinks, and a couple who were just soaking up every second. And when the dance floor opened? Let’s just say this was not a sit-down-and-sway kind of crowd. Absolute scenes.
Why This Wedding Stood Out
Some weddings are all about the setting, some are all about the people—but the best ones? They’re a perfect mix of both. This Stanway Tithe Barn wedding was filled with history, beauty, and countryside charm, but at its core, it was about the people. A day full of love, family, and the kind of laughter that echoes long after the music stops.
To my wonderful couple—thank you for letting me be part of your day. And to Stanway’s fountain? You made one very memorable wedding guest.
